The biggest feature in Microsoft's new Office 2007 suite is most certainly the interface. Gone are the menus and the toolbars -- now all thecommands are available in the various tabs of the Ribbon. The Ribbon is much more intuitive -- but for seasoned users who have been working withMicrosoft Office applications for more than a decade, it does involve a serious amount of unlearning.

Microsoft introduced a brilliant UI ribbon in Office suite applications in Office 2007 and revamped it in Office 2010. It seems great, flexible, scalable and easier-to-use but millions of users are still annoyed because of the fact that finding the right feature, tool, and options is difficult. The reason being, old menu items are dispersed in newly featured UI ribbon, also the fact that most users have gotten used to the old Classic Menu which could be found in Office 2003. UBitMenu is a small add-in which bundles almost every feature, tool, and option Office 2010 offers under single Menu tab providing all the classic menus and icons.

To bring the old menu, in either Office 2007 or Office 2010, close all applications and instances of Office running in the background, and install the add-in. Once successfully installed, you can view old menus, under newly created Menu tab. This add-ins features most eminent Office applications; Word 2010, Excel 2010, and PowerPoint 2010.

Can somebody just provide a link the classic TAB exportedUI files for MS Office 2003 for us to use in office 2007/2010?. searching online, everybody just wnats to make a buck online with silly Classic Tab installers which do nothing more than inport exportedUI files for you.

Bill Gates was smart enough to see that Office 2007 needed a classic mode. But somehow, the Office development team convinced him that a classic mode wouldn't fit with the future direction of Office. So, we have a huge frustration point: Excel 2007 is the best new version of Excel in 10 years, but no one will upgrade because they don't want to re-learn the user interface.

There are two products available that will add a classic menu back to Excel 2007. The first product to hit the market is the Classic Excel Menu product. It brings back all of the menu and toolbar options on a new tab in the ribbon. The product sells for $15.95 for an Excel version, or $29.95 in a version for Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access and Word.

This was the first product to hit the market. Installation is simple. You are presented with an option to put the classic menus either first or last. An option allows you to add a new menu called All to the left of the File menu.

The Excel version is a 1.8MB download. The Office version is a 3.3 MB download. Starting October 14, 2007, the latest version will bring the classic menu back in any language that Excel supports. It also adds the new Excel 2007 functionality to the old menu.

This product works for Word 2007 and Excel 2007. It does not (yet) support Power Point 2007. You are provided download files for both Toolbar Toggle Lite and Toolbar Toggle. The installation process is not quite as smooth as with the Classic Excel menu. Even though the files come as .exe files, they launch WinZip when opened, and I found myself having to unzip to a folder and then run the Setup.exe in order to install Toolbar Toggle Lite. The installation requires .NET Framework 2.0 so there were more files to download after launching the install. Even after installing Toolbar Toggle Lite, you are then required to go find a folder in program files and execute a .bat file.

The installation process for Toolbar Toggle was straightforward. No batch files to execute. Install the product and open Excel 2007. Initially, Excel will show the complete ribbon and then below that the Excel 2003 menu in a Toolbar Toggle region. This takes up a fair amount of real estate on the screen.

With both products, any use of the Alt keyboard shortcuts is going to access the Excel 2007 ribbon instead of the classic menu. If you are a keyboard shortcut person, you will find a little frustration with this.

MS Word 2007 Classic Menu is an advanced add-in for the newest version of Microsoft Word 2007. It aims to revive classic menus that were usually found in the 2003 edition of Office. The motivation that would make someone try out such an incredible tool may be clarified by the minimalism and the user-friendliness that define the menus of Word 2003, following a flexible document writing experience for users. Its interface has remained a major success. You may also like Batch DOC and DOCX Converter 2021 Free Download

Some of the users opted for the older edition, some migrated to the newer ones, and come to enjoy the novelty of the ribbon menus. However, it works quite well with Word 2010 and 2013 as well. It implements a set of the toolbar that encompasses all the menus of the traditional 2003 release, i.e. File, Edit, View, Insert, Format, Table, Window, and Help. To put it in a nutshell, MS Word 2007 Classic Menu is smart, easy to set up, and does not interrupt the overall functionality of Word. 2ff7e9595c
